What is the arcsecant or inverse secant?
Arcsecant is the inverse of the secant, which is the ratio of the hypotenuse, or longest side, to the adjacent side in a right triangle.
The hypotenuse is the longest side which constrains the arcsecant. A valid secant must be less than or equal to -1, or greater than or equal to 1.
